Can I use “We” instead of “I”?
You don’t want to miss this one! This real life question came up in one of our trainings! As we were discussing trying to take “I” out of our language when having a Motivational Interviewing based conversation, someone in the healthcare field wondered if they could use “we” instead of “I”. For example: “We know in the healthcare field that smoking is bad for you.” Rather than, “I know that smoking is bad for you.”
