A monthly learning collaborative and peer support group where we explore leadership/management through Motivational Interviewing

This is an Monthly Support Series composed of 4 meetings at the following dates and times:

February 4, 2022, March 4, 2022, April 1, 2022 and April 29, 2022 from 9:00am to 11:00am Pacific Time

Course Description:

The Motivational Interviewing Supervisor Support Series in a monthly learning collaborative and peer support group that provides an opportunity to explore leadership/management/supervision through the Motivational Interviewing lens. We meet for two (2) hours monthly over the course of nine months to discuss difficult real world work issues, sort through common personnel issues, discern between compliance and behavior change approaches and explore cultural evolution and change within the workplace. It is a unique opportunity to engage in the cross-pollination of ideas from other leaders/supervisors while evolving the application of Motivational Interviewing to improve supports for teams, organizations and the clients’ communities they serve. This support series is done online via live streaming or in person, depending on the individual. There will be video examples, audience participation, and skill practice, creating a very interactive training experience. Participants can choose to join for the entirety of the course, or join quarterly.

Whether you are a leader in your industry, a front line worker or someone getting back into the work force, this class is the perfect meld of both leadership and Motivational Interviewing.

An evaluation is included with your handouts for the course; please complete and return to IFIOC. Once the completed evaluation is returned a Certificate of Completion will be sent out via your registered email address within 5 business days.

Requirements to receive Continuing Education Certificate link

This training is designed for social workers and behavioral health professionals. IFIOC #1485 is approved as a provider for work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB), through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. IFIOC maintains responsibility for the program. Social workers participating in this training will receive 10 continuing education clock hours. Professionals should contact their individual regulatory board to review current continuing education requirements for licensure renewal. ASWB Approval Period: 05/30/2021 to 05/30/2024.
